Weekly build logs beat product updates for us. Each post had three parts: what shipped, what broke, what I'm trying next. No hype, no "excited to announce." I posted the same log in two communities—one for indie hackers, one industry-specific forum. Comments turned into feature requests and beta testers. After six weeks, half our waitlist said they found us through a log post, not the landing page. Consistency mattered more than polish. Missing a week dropped engagement noticeably. A recurring Friday post became the habit that fed everything else.
